W. Clement Stone lived to be 100 years old, amassed a billion dollar fortune (when a billion dollars was still a billion dollars), Stone started Success Unlimited Magazine with Napoleon Hill and co-authored “Success Through A Positive Mental Attitude” with him. Stone started every day with the affirmation: “I feel happy! I feel healthy! I feel ter-r-r-ific!” You will hear him say that in the program below. Here are some more of Stone’s quotes:


  1. All personal achievement starts in the mind of the individual. Your personal achievement starts in your mind. The first step is to know exactly what your problem, goal or desire is.
  2. Every great man, every successful man, no matter what the field of endeavor, has known the magic that lies in these words: every adversity has the seed of an equivalent or greater benefit.
  3. Regardless of who you are or what you have been, you can be what you want to be.

In 1962 W. Clement Stone published both his story and a manual for salesmanship called The Success System That Never Fails. The Internet Archive had the book available for download but recently the publisher restricted it and you will have to visit Amazon, B&N, or another book seller and purchase a copy.

In the book Stone details his life and how the various influences taught him to sell and how he trained the sales force of his insurance companies. He dedicated the book to “You And To All Who Seek The True Riches In Life.”

“Why does one man succeed and another fail? There is an answer. And it will be found in this book. For there are formulas, prescriptions, recipes rules, principles, systems even treasure maps, if you please which, when followed in proper sequence, bring the good things in life to those who seek them. Often the rules for success are so simple and so obvious they aren’t even seen. But when you search for them, you, too, can find them. And during the search something wonderful happens: you acquire knowledge . . . you gain experience . . . you become inspired. And then you begin to recognize the necessary ingredients for success.”

A YouTube User called MarKarKark has put an audio version of Success System That Never Fails together with pictures that illustrate the time being discussed and put it all on YouTube. All together the program runs a little under two hours.
