Susan Boyle

Susan Boyle, more than two years after this post was published origionally on April 16th 2009, is alive and doing well. She has a new album out soon, Someone To Watch Over Me, that will be a new sensation.

Susan Boyle had a dream that she kept alive, she had a vision nurtured through the years and she acted on the dream in the face of impossible odds. Check this out:

I would argue that this is the law of attraction manifest in a big-big way. It is what Wallace Wattles writes about in The Science of Getting Rich, from Chapter 11 – Acting In The Certain Way:

By thought you can cause the gold in the hearts of the mountains to be impelled toward you; but it will not mine itself, refine itself, coin itself into double eagles, and come rolling along the roads seeking its way into your pocket.

Under the impelling power of the Supreme Spirit, men’s affairs will be so ordered that some one will be led to mine the gold for you; other men’s business transactions will be so directed that the gold will be brought toward you, and you must so arrange your own business affairs that you may be able to receive it when it comes to you. Your thought makes all things, animate and inanimate, work to bring you what you want; but your personal activity must be such that you can rightly receive what you want when it reaches you.

I can envision that Susan Boyle’s dream had something to do with “Britan’s Got Talent” becoming a successful program so that she could have the opportunity that she clearly deserves.

Can you believe that about The Law of Attraction? That “under the impelling power of the Supreme Spirit, men’s affairs will be so ordered…” that other peoples business transactions were directed such that “Britain’s Got Talent” came to be so Susan Boyle could give this great performance and achieve her dream. Can you believe that? Can you believe it for yourself?

The same could be said of an earlier performance by Paul Potts. The same thing, Potts had a dream…

I like these things in life where you meet someone or see something and you get an impression. This is going to be really stupid. And then something happens and you connect on a new and higher level.

This is law of attraction stuff.  A person with nothing to distinguish himself dreams and takes action, after awhile something develops in him – something invisible to the world … until … until the universe conspires with him or her to bring opportunity.  Then it’s courage … does she or he have the courage to catch hold of the dream?

This has been happening recently on shows like Britain’s Got Talent and America’s Got Talent. These kinds of shows are not my favorites, in fact I don’t watch them at all – happily the very best from them makes it to YouTube and the blogs and I get to enjoy some real gems like Susan Boyle and Paul Potts and get moved and get to think about what it means.

I thought I was finished with part 2 until I woke up hearing Paul Potts singing Nessun Dorma in my head which called for part 2 of part 2 – which seems a little strange so we’ll call it an addendum. Paul Potts has an amazing story and he is a great talent. I say that when opera has never been to my taste. I thought of how this mobile phone salesman who loved Opera became an international star over night. It is the story of The Law of Attraction. I had first seen the YouTube video on Vic Johnson’s Blog and I went over there to get the link. I saw something else good and related.
