Thomas Troward, who was a strong influence in the New Thought Movement, claimed that thought precedes physical form and that “the action of Mind plants that nucleus which, if allowed to grow undisturbed, will eventually attract to itself all the conditions necessary for its manifestation in outward visible form.”In 1906, William Walker Atkinson (1862–1932) used the phrase in his New Thought Movement book Thought Vibration or the Law of Attraction in the Thought World, stating that “like attracts like.” The following year, Elizabeth Towne, the editor of The Nautilus Magazine, a Journal of New Thought, published Bruce MacLelland’s prosperity theology book Prosperity Through Thought Force,in which he summarized the principle, stating: “You are what you think, not what you think you are.”The book “The Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace D. Wattles espouses similar principles — that truly believing in the object of your desire and focusing onto it will lead to that object or goal being realized on the material plane (Wattles indicates in the Preface and later chapters of this book that his premise stems from the monistic Hindu view that God pervades everything and can deliver that which we focus on). In addition, the book also indicates that negative thinking will manifest negative results.

Richard Weiss explains in his book The American Myth of Success that during the New Thought movement, the “principle of “non-resistance” was a popular concept taught in conjunction with the law of attraction.

Use Tapping To Lock In The Law of Attraction

Is it possible to see the future? Can you have such a vision stir within that you can see things long before they come to pass? There are examples of this such as the Bible which has told things centuries in advance of their comming to pass. In other things too this has happened. Wallace Wattles fortold of the airline industry in 1910 at a time when the Wright Brothers were still struggling to make flight safe. Published at Alltop.

Seeing The Future

Over one hundred years ago, John Elfreth Watkins predicted what life would be like a century after. Watkins, a civil engineer by trade, had a better idea of where technology was going than probably anyone reading the few magazines in which his prophesies appeared. In fact, the readers probably thought Watkins was a total nut. But as it turns out, Watkins was right about at least 10 things.

Take a look at one:

“Wireless telephone and telegraph circuits will span the world. A husband in the middle of the Atlantic will be able to converse with his wife sitting in her boudoir in Chicago. We will be able to telephone to China quite as readily as we now talk from New York to Brooklyn.”

Keep in mind that this was fifteen years before the first phone call from coast-to-coast in the US.

Money Myths

Are you being prevented from becoming financially prosperous? A false belief system about money can seriously affect both short- and long-term fiscal worth. But there’s a way out! Throw away these six money myths, and you’ll be on the path to prosperity.

Do you hold any of these common, erroneous beliefs?

1. If I get a raise that moves me into a higher tax bracket, I’ll actually take home a smaller paycheck. Thankfully, this isn’t true! Being moved into a higher tax bracket only increases the tax rate on the income you earned in that tax bracket. Here’s how it works:

* Filing Singly, 2011:

o 10% on taxable income from $0 to $8,500
o 15% on taxable income over $8,500 to $34,500
o 25% on taxable income over $34,500 to $83,600
o 28% on taxable income over $83,600 to $174,400
o 33% on taxable income over $174,400 to $379,150
o 35% on taxable income over $379,150
o So, if you earn $25,000, the first $8,500 is taxed at 10%. Your income earned between $8,500 and $25,000 is taxed at 15%.

2. Renting is analogous to throwing money in the garbage. Compare renting to other necessities of modern living:

* Do you regard the money you pay out on gasoline to be the same as throwing it away? How about what you spend on electricity? These expenses are both examples of consumables without lasting value that you consistently purchase. However, these things are required for daily living in our society. Rent falls under the same heading.

* Even homeowners have to “throw away” money on items like property taxes and mortgage interest, quite possibly more than you’re using to pay your rent. In fact, for the first several years of most mortgages, you’re essentially paying primarily interest with your payments.

o For example, on a 30-year, $150,000 mortgage at 7% interest, your first 5 years of payments would total approximately $60,000. Of that $60,000, you “throw away” approximately $51,000 on interest payments.

3. Higher price means higher quality. More expensive items are not always of greater quality. For example, generic drugs are generally regarded to be just as beneficial as their name-brand alternatives.

* When determining an item’s value, look beyond the price and examine the true value to you. Does that generic brand pain reliever help your aching back? Don’t be so sure that paying extra is really getting you something extra. Spend your money wisely.

4. You need a lot of money to start investing. It’s true that some brokerage companies require a minimum amount of money to open an account. However, there are also many online brokers now that have no investment requirements to open an account. You can get started immediately, if you want to.

5. Keeping a balance on my credit card will help my credit rating. One of the factors that go into a credit score is the percentage of available credit that’s being utilized. So, you’re better off without carrying a balance. That’s not to say you shouldn’t use it; just pay it off monthly. There’s no benefit for you to pay interest to the credit card companies.

6. Home ownership is a guaranteed investment strategy. One only needs to look at what’s been going on in the housing market the last couple of years to see that’s not necessarily true. As with other investments, home ownership carries a risk that your investment may decrease in value.

* Although commonly reported data say that housing appreciates somewhere between the rate of inflation and 5% per year, this is not always true. In reality, your home can certainly lose value over time.

First, Decide and Expect

The very first step to learning how to attract money, before you do anything else, is deciding on an exact amount which you expect to receive by an exact deadline. Now, don’t be unreasonable about this and expect to have $1 million in three months if you’ve never made more than $20,000 a year. Just set a small goal for yourself like $10,000 in the next six months. Once you achieve this, you’ll have the confidence to move on to bigger and better things. Now, the secret to making this work is deciding that you’re going to have the money without worrying about how you’re going to do it.

This is because it’s much easier to make money and or even manifest prosperity once you’ve decided that you’re going to do it. Just think about the last time you absolutely had to come up with a certain amount of money. Did you do it? If so, you probably had no idea how you were going to do it at first…you just knew that you had to do it and you decided that you were going to. As you’ll soon discover, that expectation was what made all the difference.

Second, Get Obsessed

If you want to know how to attract money and you haven’t been able to up to this point in your life, it’s probably because you haven’t become obsessed with your goal. Now, you don’t want to get obsessed with money… that’s not the point. Instead, set a specific goal for what you plan on doing with the money and get obsessed with the goal itself. It can be putting $10,000 into an emergency fund so that you can start your own business or it can be buying a new car. No matter what it is, the goal is more important than the amount of money needed to achieve it.

Think about it, no one really wants money anyway…we want the things money can buy. Focusing on trying to make money alone will never build a strong desire. Instead focus on the reason you want to make money or manifest prosperity, and become obsessed with that reason.

Third, Start Working with What You Have

As you’re obsessing over your goal for how to attract money, it’s important for you to start working as hard as you can to achieve your goal. Even if the strategy which you are currently applying is insufficient for earning the money, just keep focusing on your goal and eventually your subconscious mind will start presenting ideas to you. When it does, it will be much easier for you to transfer the momentum which you have established by working hard with what you have. What you’ll find is that having clear expectations and a burning obsession will help you to begin discovering the hidden opportunities which will make it possible for you to learn how to attract money.

We create our own reality. We attract those things in our life (money, relationships, employment) that we focus on. I wish I could tell you that it is as simple as stating an affirmation, but no affirmation is going to work if your thoughts or feelings are negating the positive.

When we focus on “having less” then we create that experience for ourselves. When we focus on “I hate my job” then we will never notice the aspects of our employment that might be satisfying. Law Of Attraction

All people are surrounded by a thought atmosphere. . . Through this force we’re either
drawing in or forcing back. Like draws in like and…we draw in exactly what we
are in mind.

The law of attraction, or what I refer to as resonance manifestation, is the principle by
which you draw into your life that which is in vibrational alignment with your
awareness; your thoughts, feelings, opinions and attitudes, whether you’re
mindful of them or not.

This is why the starting point on the road to successfully and deliberately manifesting
your desires is to become aware of the thoughts and feelings that are producing
your experience and to take responsibility for your reality.

Accepting responsibility for your life without judgment is both empowering and liberating. When you understand that you’re source not subject of your existence, you are able to
modify it.

Further more, when you realize that you’re always backed up by an all-loving,
intelligent universe that you’re ever united with, you’ll be able to allow and
engage co-creation where synchronicities and serendipities burst, “hows”  are magically taken care of and issues in your life seamlessly woven into a tapestry of dreams come true.

The law of attraction is the power of like attracting like and the means by which you
magnetically materialize that which you center your attention upon and are in
energetic balance with.

To apply the law of attraction successfully you will be required to become conscious of
what‘s happening inside. You need to be aware of the thoughts, feelings,
beliefs and attitudes that are what’s creating the boundaries of your
experience.

You’re a marvelous manifesting machine producing your reality in every moment. It is not
possible to not create. The trick is to become aware of how you do so. For
this, realizing the nature of reality, the law of attraction and the “greater
picture” around manifestation is of value.

The law of attraction is an absolute. It doesn’t single out, it simply is. This implies it
can work both for and versus you. To draw in what you want into your life you
need to line up your heart and mind to the final result of your wishes, the
juicy positive ideas and beliefs which palpably resonate and act as a magnet to
those very goals.

In my exploration of manifesting and the law of attraction I have identified some key insights that have aided me to understand its nature and workings and engage it entirely in my favor. A few of these will be explored on this blog.
