I love country music, when i watched kevin skinner sang, he nearly brought me to tears!Such an emotional song. He is a very humble, respectful individual and i pray that he wins only because i believe he can make it big in the music industry. He got the skills and the talent!. Go KEVIN, You ROCK!

Tom T. Hall brings back some memories… thinking about the beginning where the song talks about going in a bar and watching Ironsides on TV. That was long ago and far away.

Kevin Skinner is a diamond in the rough. If there was any way to contact him, I would suggest he listen to some Tom T. Hall and perhaps do one of his ballads, like “Old Dogs, Children, and Watermelon Wine”. That would bring the audience and the judges to their feet, and might bring tears to their eyes.

I’m not a country music fan, so I’ve never heard Garth Brooks’ version of this song. So when I read a number of comments saying that Kevin Skinner sang the song better than Garth, I decided to compare the two. I listened to both on YouTube, and I was surprised that Kevin Skinner did actually sing the song MUCH better than Garth Brooks. I think he may just make it big.
